Job summary

You will be responsible for providing HR business partnering support to the management team during a critical period of business integration and transformation. You will lead on the co-ordination and execution of all tactical and strategic initiatives relating to recruitment, workforce planning, training and development and employee relations initiatives. You will also provide support and advice to leaders regarding employment legislation and related compliance issues.

Job description

  1. Support the HR Director in the implementation of the people and business change agenda in Greece.
  2. Lead on the ER and Staff Engagement agenda including:
  • Provide monthly Management Reports to the HR Director and the local Leadership Team which outline performance of the business against the Group’s People Scorecard
  • Review HR policies and procedures ensuring they are fit for purpose and promote best practice
  • Implement pragmatic time and attendance procedures which ensure Line Manager accountability
  • Lead on the co-ordination of all conduct and capability issues
  • Develop and embed effective employee communication and consultation processes
  • Develop and embed a staff engagement strategy that wins the hearts and minds of the workforce and retains key talent
  1. Embed Recruitment and Selection processes and procedures which attract and deliver key talent to the business within optimal timelines
  2. Support the implementation of a cost effective Work Force Plan which delivers expansive and flexible core operating hours, preserves business continuity and delights the customer
  3. Support the implementation of a value-adding L&D Programme encompassing:
  • On-boarding of new hires and up-skilling of colleagues
  • Leadership Development
  • Promotion of language skills
  1. Manage Reward ensuring:
  • Effective execution of payroll processes
  • Alignment of all business activities to the GNS Job Family Framework and Job Descriptions
  • Transparency and compliance of processes
  • Recognition for high performance
  1. Ensure compliance on all internal and external regulatory frameworks including Health and Safety, Professional Conduct and Data Protection legislation

Not less than five years’ experience and evidenced success within a similar role/context

Ability to translate Ministry of Power employment legislation into pragmatic and accessible operating policies

Evidenced knowledge and understanding of the application of ER, Engagement and L&D principles within a digital and/or service environment

Experience of delivering an HR agenda within the Marine Sector

Ability to analyse and interpret data

X

 

Excellent IT skills including Microsoft packages – Word, Excel, PowerPoint or equivalent

Excellent presentation, written/verbal communication skills

Evidenced success in facilitating L&D initiatives including on-boarding programmes
