Arts University Bournemouth is the leading professional arts university dedicated to creative education and career success. Offering courses in art, design, architecture, media and performance, we are passionate about our specialist subjects and dedicated both to education and the creative industries which we serve.

We are seeking an individual with good customer service experience to join our busy finance and procurement team. The post holder should be able to deal with a wide variety of customers including staff members, students and their parents, with a friendly manner, and be able to move quickly between them.

You should have experience of switching between systems and be able to use a variety of different programmes, sometimes simultaneously. The programmes that the post holder has access to will include the University’s accounting system, online store system, recurring card payment system and student records system.

You  may have a knowledge of accounting but will be interested in learning more in this area, and would be looking to develop skills whilst undertaking tasks such as the petty cash reconciliation, posting of bank receipts and supporting of the sales ledger function.

We are looking for an individual who can manage their own workload in an environment that provides new challenges every day, who can meet these challenges with a high level of customer focus. The post holder will need to be able to work within a team whilst being able to use their own initiative. Excellent interpersonal skills as well as communication (written and verbal) skills are necessary within this challenging environment.
