Engineering Apprenticeship
Amphenol Ltd is part of the $7 billion p.a. Amphenol Corporation – a market leading, global, interconnect specialist. This successful site employs c230 people and specialises in the design and manufacture of a diverse range of connectors and interconnect products for a highly demanding customer base in the Aerospace, Military and Industrial sectors. Poised for further growth and investment, we are now seeking to recruit Engineering Apprentices who will help deliver unrivalled levels of excellence. The successful applicants will embark upon comprehensive high-quality training; paid-for professional and academic qualifications and hands-on experience in world-class projects and products. Combined with support from people passionate about nurturing talent and developing skills, an Amphenol Apprenticeship is the start of a rewarding and challenging career.
Key Responsibilities include:
*Undertaking a Government accredited Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship
*Carrying out a series of placements in all Production and Engineering related departments plus day release with a local training provider
*Undertaking discrete projects and problems and delivering timely solutions to both internal and external customers
*Contributing to the development of new and innovative products and technologies
Essential Qualities include:
*Min 5 GCSE Qualifications grades A – D including Maths, English and a science subject
*Workshop experience from a school, college or business setting
*A flexible approach to working plus a determination to succeed personally and professionally
*Experience of working with technical specifications and drawings and an interest in the technical side of operating machinery
*Good people and problem-solving skills, teamwork ability and an enquiring mind
As an Amphenol Apprentice, you can expect:
*On-the-job training by experienced professionals
*Top-quality academic qualifications fully compliant with the latest Government Trailblazer standards
*All training and qualifications fully funded by Amphenol so your hard-earned qualifications will be debt-free
*Later opportunities to continue your studies and qualifications to degree level and beyond
*Enrichment experiences such as outward bound courses; opportunities to work with apprentices and staff in other divisions of the Amphenol group nationally and internationally; becoming involved in promoting careers with local schools and supporting community groups.
*After completion, most apprentices stay with us and go on to have long, successful careers with Amphenol. In fact, much of our workforce started out as an apprentice - including some people who are in senior management positions.
