Conference and Banqueting Floor Manager - Newport

 

We are looking for a Conference and Banqueting Floor Manager to join our Conference and Banqueting team here at the Celtic Manor Resort.

You will be one of 4 Floor Managers reporting to the Operations Manager and will be given responsibility for specific events across the department. Your role will be to control the day to day organisation of the department, organise and brief staff teams involved with the food and beverage element of the days events, meet and greet clients, and ensure that the highest standards of service are delivered as part of the customer's seamless journey through the Resort. You will need to be an excellent team player, a motivator, have good communication skills, a passion for delivering high levels of customer service, possess a professional attitude and have high standards of presentation.

Having a background in hospitality operations you will have a passion for the industry and want to deliver our customers a memorable experience. Ideally you will have experience in a smaller 4* or 5* hotel as an Operations Manager or will have worked in an environment that has catered for high volume banqueting in a supervisory capacity and should have a hospitality qualifications at NVQ Level 3, HND or equivalent.

In addition, the Resort also features an historic 19th century Manor House offering a choice of meeting and function rooms with a country house ambience and The Celtic Manor Golf Club one of Europe’s largest and most luxurious golf clubhouses, offering conference and banqueting suites and function rooms for private dining.

Following in the footsteps of the Ryder Cup we also run a number of Special Events and there are some great opportunities to be involved in delivering 'outdoor' events such as Polo at the Manor when we providing hospitality for close to 1000 guests, the Celebrity Cup Golf tournament hosted by some famous faces which takes place over 2 days in July and our Fireworks Spectacular where we open the gates to 4000 visitors each November.
