Seeking a Higher Court Advocate for our client in Middlesex.
The successful advocate will be managing a varied caseload of Crown Court work to include trials of sexual offences, fraud, kidnap, attempted murder and drug charges. Having a full working knowledge of the criminal justice system and experience appearing in the Crown Court is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
• Conducting advocacy
• Preparing cases for trial
• Representing vulnerable clients
• Attending police station interviews
• Liaising with the CPS and courts
• Interviewing witnesses and drafting witness statements
• File management
The Candidate
• Solicitors, duty solicitors and barristers with a minimum of one years’ PQE in criminal defence matters
• It is essential you are duty accredited and/or possess Higher Rights of Audience
• Ability to provide first-class client care
• Highly organised and proactive
• Technically adept
